The project is located in an eclectic neighbourhood forming an area of transition between different urban systems and clear heterogeneous architecture. Inside of this urban collage the buildings are integrated in a respectful manner and work as elements connecting different parts of the context. The housing blocks are characterised by the uniformity of their materials, the diversity of the volumes, and the strict orthogonal geometry. The different typologies are developed in one, two and three different heights to allow a discontinuous composition along the new profile. The housing blocks have been designed as an interchangeable puzzle so the client can define by himself the quantities required for each typology.
In the landscape design the existing canal is the main element. The steep bank slope of the canal is converted into a new gentler slope to visually increase the surface of water and achieve smoother topography. The random groupings of the existing trees are emphazised on both sides of the water together with the new trees of the same species. In the central area this green stripe joins an existing Park.In this central place is located a residence for elderly disabled people.
