This is a housing scheme of low density with an emblematic rural character,
similar to the old agricultural typologies of the area (Twentse Hoeven). The
challenge is to achieve the creation of an atmospheric equivalent to a
traditional one using 21st Century architecture without being a mere imitation
of material or aesthetic aspects.
Our aim is to create a sensation of having
experimented with the space sometime ago even though in reality the space is a
new one which provokes a process of remembrance of an re-interpreting old
space.
