This temporary pavilion is placed in a public space close to a port canal in the centre of Barcelona. The new building, which will operate as a cafe, leans on the surface of the public square, projecting out onto the quay. It is placed in a privileged position in direct visual contact with the water. Taking advantage of this aspect it aspires to frame the image of the port with the building itself. A frame is created by two solid boxes of horizontal wooden louvers containing a central free and transparent zone. The joinery workshops can re-fold totally liberating the principal area of the project. The bar is completed with a wooden platform forming a cafe terrace that orders the existing vaulted square.
